We recently had the opportunity to review Michael Muldoon’s new DVD 6 by Six for another site, and it was our first introduction to the man’s work. In reviewing that we became aware of his Modern Triumph. It is one of the most visually stunning Triumph routines we have seen. Yes, it uses a gaffed deck, so you may prefer to stick to your tried and tested sleight of hand version. But if you want an easy and incredibly visual version of this effect this is well worth a look. £26.99 (also available in Red)

I know we usually restrict ourselves to card and card-related magic, but this month I wanted to mention Bob’s Box. I’ve always loved the thought of coin magic but have rarely had the discipline to learn the sleight of hand necessary. But I recently acquired the (by no means new) Bob Swaddling effect Bob’s Box. All I can say is that it is fabulous. Beautifully made props which do all the work for you. I can’t praise this highly enough. It’s not cheap, but to my mind it is worth the investment. £82.99
