[…] I would recommend reading it alongside a book which might help you think through the more performance related side of things – and my top recommendation there would be The Approach (you can read our review here). […]

[…] I was very intrigued by Name Tag when I first saw it advertised and was keen to do this review. Other tricks have been done which utilise a name tag, but this felt like a great concept – and Jamie Grant would thoroughly approve (as you will know if you have read The Approach)!
I cannot recommend this book enough! Had brought this after I downloaded and read through the free chapters that Jamie had e-mailed to me. Had ordered the book and it sat around in my drawer for quite some time with me saying I will read it at some point, then becoming side tracked. I managed to land my first gig which happen to be at a very busy venue on New Year's Eve (2014) no less. I had a lot of questions but I started reading the book and it really put me at ease. It had absolutely everything someone who is starting out could want and addressed a lot of issues and questions that I had asked myself as well (and still do) so I find myself constantly going back to the book to help me wade through things. As you said though there were things in there that would not work with me simply because of diffrences of personalities and cultural differences (with me being in the UK as well) but overall I really found this book to be a huge help and very well written.
