Here’s our roundup of the latest Bicycle Cards to hit the UK. I’m a bit of a fan of Victoriana, so these new Dr Jekyll Playing Cards are definitely worth a look. (£6.99). And of course where one goes, the other is not far behind. The Mr Hyde deck is more unsettling (and aged and distressed).
Although these aren’t new designs, I’m also impressed with MagicNevin’s growing range of forcing decks. In addition to the more commonly available forcing decks there were two that jumped out at me. First, the very useful half 1-way, half-regular deck which can be shown fairly freely and still enable a force. I’m not sure if I’ve seen these at dealers before, apart from as part of effects, so this seems a good idea and only £4.49. Also a short deck – I can see some really useful applications for a deck like this (£4.99). I think it is brilliant news that USPCC are now producing these.
Not to be confused with the RSVP Butterfly deck, this Butterfly deck is inspired by Buddhist ideas, and has a very serene look. Worth clicking through to see the court cards which are very elegant. £8.49
If that weren’t enough, also in stock are the Magic Castle Red cards (£5.75), Criss Angel’s White Baroque Deck cards (£6.99), the Maddison Rounders (£7.50), the Executive Deck (£7.50) and the slightly scary Bicycle Coffin Fodder deck (£8.99).
