Well the votes are in and the judges have judged and we’re pleased to announce the winner of our Bicycle-Cards.co.uk summer competition in conjunction with Diavoli Productions.
In first place was an excellent photo from Amer Chowdhury. We loved the time and skill which had gone into making a Phoenix out of different coloured Bicycle Cards and the flaming background was an effective finishing touch. A deck of Phoenix cards on the way to you.
In second place with a very striking photo was Teja Boocock. From a purely compositional point of view we preferred her first entry, but this second one more clearly featured Bicycle Cards. Because they were both strong photographs we have awarded you the second prize. A deck of Gargoyles on the way to you.
We thought we would share a couple of other entries (you can see all the entries on our Facebook page).
Matt Pope is highly commended for good skills in an interesting location.
Mikki Goode made us laugh, but we decided it wasn’t a sparrow and unfortunately the Jack was out of focus, so it couldn’t win!
And Amanda Gott is to be congratulated on the real parrot in this shot! One of the judges wanted to make this a winner – so very close.
Thank you for all your entries. We will try to run another competition in the not too distant future…
